The McColaugh Family
McColaugh Funeral Home has been owned and operated by the McColaugh Family since it’s beginning in 1960.
Robert S. McColaugh grew up in Greene County and lived there his entire life. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1949. He had previously managed Nagley Funeral Home in downtown Xenia. He purchased the business in 1960 and moved it to the present location at 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Bob and his wife, Marjean Smith McColaugh founded the current McColaugh Funeral Home based on their dedication to serve families in their time of need. Together, Bob and Marjean had 5 children: Robert, Nancy, Ronald, Ann and Roger.
Bob worked diligently building the business until his death on June 20, 1998. He lived his life under his company’s motto, “dedicated to serve.”
Over the last 50 years the McColaugh Family has carried on their father’s belief and desire to serve Xenia and the surrounding communities. The entire family are longstanding members of the Faith Community United Methodist Church.
